I've been on the site for 9 years now. I tend to stick to particular playing styles. Although I do try to break out of my personal playing styles or preferences and expand sometimes. I do feel more comfortable with a particular style of playing and particular openings. I find I'm more of a tactician than strategist -- creating opportunities whenever possible. Being a member of this site and playing a variety of opponents -- especially those stronger than myself, I've found out more about my deficiencies than my strengths. Playing correspondence chess is different than playing over the board chess. With OTB chess the pressures of course are much more immediate. Other than that, I believe I play much the same as OTB, but I learn more perhaps because I have more time to look over the board and analyze. However, I still make errors and miscalculations same as OTB! I've also learned not to overestimate my abilities.
