In the long ago days before I joined chessworld, I used to play on a non-correspondence-style site.

There was one guy I used to play fairly regularly. In one of our games, he blundered and lost his queen; then he immediately messaged me, saying, "Can I have a takeback? I've got a bad headache today."

Guess whether or not I agreed to this! 🤣

See in some ways I'm no better. When it was found I could fire hand shake goodies like a machine gun, he took it away with the server upgrade because that's just being ludicrous on my part. Serious consideration should be given Hiding the annotate game and add to game collection buttons concerning games that time out with one or no moves, before I do so. Your Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were in my city last week and our Prime minister tried to high five him for some strange reason. I have friends in America I should say but society is rapidly degrading. I heard Roger Waters never spoke again. Not a bad idea.

I more meant myself than the few. Tryfon is great and I attend many of his productions. I meant my attempt at higher vocabulary sounds like a bad talk show from the 70's. It's just that in England, the best speakers are so good it's nearly unintelligible. So really who am I fooling. I refer to the fact that I have no formal knowledge of the game either and that I'm automatically playing from a deficit. This is the best turn base place around. Even disagreements with me don't mean we're beating one another with a pointed stick. It's because it's England. In America i was furious all the time. The place was like a cheesy wrestling television show. Glad I'm here.

Through association it does seem that punctuality is tantamount to general responsibility. So all but five percent of the rest should be severed with impunity? I had a sense of this in the first place. I'm unnecessarily talking about what everybody knows. I've come to the conclusion I should never speak again. I just wanted to see how it would turn out. The same as I wanted to see how I would calculate with no opening. It pays to know what I'm saying or doing though. Someday I'll open a chess book for the first time but for now I'll just return to being some two bit thug in the games until they finish.

To me it's all about perspective I execrate games that time out, expecting something further than was originally intended is inept to me, but that is my discernment. When making responses all the games should receive the equivalent treatment during the time allotted. This is especially true for time outs if a response is necessary in a game one should be provided.

Deeming it as being polite to time out though credible and some would say magnanimous of the opponent providing the leverage this is open to interpretation. Providing the extra time is reaching beyond the rules of game, and if the fun of the chess is improved by what they see as an act of generosity who am I to stand in the way of their enjoyment, but it is beyond my comprehension.

Sorry, now I'm doing it to. People in some cases are lurking online. I have this outrageous expectation that behaviour (or elsewhere "behavior") is both the same virtually as it would be in person. If people are in eighty simultaneous games or working professionals, there's a good reason for the full seven day period. In the case of twenty suspicious holidays over the course of half a lifetime I become wearied with it and stop trying. I at times have no internet connection, and have valid reasons for needing to examine the board in a regulation amount of time and decide something. The other aspect of things is that rivalry should not mean disrespect of persons. I've come from such a background that I'm half man and half beast from responding to certain characters. Now I must limit it to two games at a time because I have other considerations. Sorry again but there's only the same community online as the real world. In certain neighborhoods you would despise playing over the board. I'm a member of the community who must lock his door at night. Only four people here have ever done something like that with me as opposed to innumerable elsewhere though you know, making it the best community.
