Honestly I'm polling sites because another upgraded but does not have a resign button. I told the owner I thought it made the site unique 😊

If you prefer to continue playing in a completely lost position, that option is yours on this site already.

As well as many variants on why it's advantageous and disadvantageous on having a resignation button. Necessary, but can be open to a wide spectrum of uses.

Resigning is in the rules so yes they are unique as they are not playing chess anymore but a variant.

Would be interested to hear your reasoning? Do you not believe there comes a point in some games where resigning is the correct/polite thing to do? (Where, for example, you are in a clearly lost position).
