Hi all

I recommend the following annotation to be checked out and feedback given to the game annotator who is: Alkhemyst

Game quotation:

Checkmate -- Blackburne Style

Game introduction:

This game was played in 1863 in Manchester; probably at the Manchester Chess Club. Blackburne played several games with Steinkuhler. Blackburne was well known for his particular mating style. This game is an excellent example of one of those checkmates...a nice little game.

Game conclusions:

White ignored too much what was happening at his own home base, feeling too sure of his own attack on the Black King. The type of checkmate illustrated here is typical of Blackburne and was one of his trademarks. In fact, there is a particular mating pattern named after him.
