A game has been requested for annotation. Please refer to the Latest annotation requests by members for details
The perspective requested for annotations/comments: Very interesting position in the centre; White trying to play for e3-e4 to break open the position; Black trying to remain active so as to counter this.

Should White have delayed e3-e4? The immediate sequence led to a draw by perpetual check (as played) but the position looked very risky to me (Black) if White had just developed and slowly prepared this move. It seemed like I would have had no real counter-chances, unless perhaps a kingside push with h6/g5 could be played, although this would create further weaknesses and make Whites central break even more powerful.

cxd5 and Nb5 may also have put me in some trouble earlier on although White chose not to go for it.
