Hi all

I recommend the following annotation to be checked out and feedback given to the game annotator who is: Earl of Norfolk

Game quotation:

Passive play leads to forced King walk and mate.

Game introduction:

A game whose finish reminds me of Edward Lasker's win against Sir George Thomas c. 1912. Black's King is chased up the right side of the board into a mating net.

Game conclusions:

Many lower rated players seem to have a penchant for declining gambits out of fear and advancing their Rook Pawns one square trying to prevent who knows what. In the above game, nothing ever did take place on the Queenside, so Black's 4th and 7th moves were irrelevant to the game and essentially gave White two free tempi.
