After (for example) 31...Kh8 32 Bxe7 the material balance is in White's favour (B+3 v R), but it's Black's exposed king that is really decisive. The White rook will join the attack via e1-e3 or d1-d3 and mate looks inevitable.

I don't understand this ending. Black still has many possible moves and 2 rooks to whites 1.
