I think this is the calculation generally used:

USCF = ECF*8 + 600

FIDE = ECF*8 + 650.

based on this my ECF=133 but i am underrated by probably 300 uscf (based on most recent tournament TPR - i need to play more otb)

[Quote from: "mjgayle52"]If an American with a USCF rating wanted to play in a UK tournament, would they play as unrated or be given a calculated equivalent rating? -- thanks!

BCF players who play in USCF events are given a calculated rating, so I imagine the set up is reciprocal.

thanks!

Appears to be a good replacement for those with a keen yearning for a Social Event in London.

Won't make it this year but if an American with a USCF rating wanted to play in a UK tournament, would they play as unrated or be given a calculated equivalent rating? -- thanks!
