Obviously why you were confused then mate . As white was in check I just assumed 'white to go' and the move log confirmed it. Until I played on here I had no idea black went through on a draw in a KO. Not even sure if that is fact in all real time competitions? I just guessed!
Many of the puzzles often leave me wondering 'why' a win. That foresight and ability is an obvious difference with the above average players.
When some 2500+ cuts me open like butter in the first 10 moves. I often sit thinking 'wow', why can I just not copy that? However when I look at games between two players of that level where a draw or resignation occurs with a board full of pieces. I wonder if I prefer the mystery of ignorance to what seems almost like a mathematical calculation combined with a completely different grasp of the game than I have.
