Might have been yesterday due to non recording of unrated games on his Rating Information page. However 10/2/2009?? In those bygone days I was still in harmony with postal, opposing internet chess stalwartly and enjoying the steady pace of each move dropping thumpingly on the doormat after waiting roughly a fornight.

Nowadays I just can't seem to get enough (1981 Depeche Mode).

SORRY Comte do you fully grasp the idea that this is a CORRESPONDENCE CHESS site and not a blitz. I appreciate the fact that it's been a while (ten years) since you last played here. PLAYING STYLES MIGHT HAVE MOVED ON. 😠

[Quote from: "bwzins64"]
[Quote from: "DecemberBob"]Another incorrect feature is the TEN day limit per move on tournaments. There is one that has 28 games to complete but is unfinished because one player still has 14 games and even if he won all would still finish below the leaders. The tournament should be declared finished. It was started last year in June.

I don't think so. I like 10 day tournaments, and I know others do too. If that time limit is too slow for you, then don't join them.

Not sure if the original setter posted the question as a stitch up but perhaps next time when a similar recurrent question is posed a better approach would be to send my response their way.

Uncertain if some, large majority etc even bother reading the Forum postings. 🎃

You can create your own tournament using the following time limits:
1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, or 15 days per move.

You can see this at Join Games ... Create New Tournament.

I'm sure there is something there that can appeal to everyone.

Fully agree with the last few comments seems to confirm my statement. However, researching the two playing styles helps to explain the frustration especially in the central part of the opening to this thread. 😔

Yep same here. Only time it will stop you joining anything on that list is if your rating has dropped fairly dramatically in your last 50 I think!! games. Its there to stop sandbaggers.
