As yes, but did Kronstein go to bigger and better things? I know he got stabbed in the leg with a poison dart, but did this prevent him claiming the world title I wonder? Why are there no references to him in leading chess manuals as well?

All these questions and no answers....

Hi all

I have just stumbled upon a really nice sub-site which is part of a really super German chess club website :- Schachklub 1858 Gießen e.V.

They have the following amazing section for Chess and the Cinema:-

Hi all

This trap was featured in a James Bond film:-

White is too greedy with Nxf7 and does not realise the impact of Qxg2

[[
1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nd4 4.Nxe5 Qg5 5.Nxf7 Qxg2 6.Rf1 Qxe4+ 7.Be2 Nf3#
]]

After Nf3++ I suspect the expression on White's face would be something like :-

Best wishes

K
