Functionality aside then, another option xorb is to click the hide button, thus removing all buttons (even confirm) whilst considering your move.

The various interface provided by the site do seem to cover pretty much any option an individual requires in all fairness.

[Quote from: "Taotaomonas"]But you just re click the moved piece and it reverts back.

But not everyone knows that. I think it's always good to have more than one way to do the same thing, espeically when one of those ways isn't easily known.

I use it the way I would use the 'back' button with Fritz, or something...so I like it!

As an aside I believe you can alter your interface so that after hitting confirm you then have to click 'yes' on a box that reads 'are you sure' or something? If you blunder you most likely still will, but maybe on the odd occasion it acts as the little voice in your head and gets you to take another look.

Yes but if you use that option it makes the move much slower. The server has to make the move where in with the confirm button the move is made on your computer then after you confirm the server is send the move. I used to have that option and made just as many blunders.

It's to undo your move BEFORE you click on Confirm. I use it all the time. It is NOT to undo your move once you've made it and clicked on Confirm. That would be against the rules of chess.

You haven't, by any chance, just made a blunder have you?

I think the point is that if you simply re click the piece you move it does the same job....I have often thought the same as I blunder a lot!...I assumed maybe if you had a slow connection it maybe gave you an 'extra second' or so during 'oh sugar' bit!

Well, it works fine until you press the confirm button, so I've found it very useful-although I've wished I could use it just after I've pushed the confirm button many more times than I care to remember!
