Well, I guess I can give it a shot, even though I have two unfinished annotations of my own on which I haven't done any work for over a year, as I've had a lot of medical problems. My wife will be out of town Wed through Fri, so maybe I can do it then. I'll just do it up to the point where you got behind in material without any reasonable hope of saving the game, around move 25 or so.

please, please let my limbo end,

As I just posted earlier, I'm actually at a loss as to where the Request Annotation requests actually go.

Do stronger players sign up for this?

Anybody can annotate any game, but quite frankly, hardly anybody does annotation requests anymore. It's just too much hassle.

The idea being that basically all you're seeking is validation by an outside source that you're some kind of genius.

This didn't used to be a prohibition. In the past, I annotated several requests by game winners. The result was usually to show that the player won not because of his skill, but rather because he had made the next-to-the-last error and that he had played poorly himself but he won anyway because his opponent had played even worse. Well, nobody really wanted to hear that.

We have quite a list of players who have done annotations, but I'm sure many of them have been done where the annotator chooses their own games as to which to work on (not from the Request Annotation queue).

You can do an annotation for any game Reyn including your own. You cannot As I have always understand it post a request if you have won the game. Logical if you think about it.

Joking apart but if you want an annotation done for a game you won. Then you should just do it yourself!! If nothing else it largely proves to one degree or another you did not use assistance and knew what you were doing.

I was always under the impression that any game could be requested for annotation by going to a completed game and by clicking the Request Annotation button, as posted earlier. I guess not, so I've learned something new.

But, even if you could request it on a won game, that would only put the request in the queue, along with all other ones, for stronger players that likes to voluntarily do this sort of activity.

As far as I know, there is NO official group that annotates games on this site. This brings up an interesting point. Where to the Request Annotation requests actually go?

By the way, Game 201682 seems to be an incorrect number, as this game does not have you playing in it.

And I would annotate your game Pip37 but I don't think I am a strong enough player.

I will do it Phillip ........ It will just not be ''pretty''

however it might get someone who knows what they are talking about to re do it for you
