The Import PGN feature turns ChessWorld into a powerful analysis tool. Learn how to upload games from other sources to store, annotate, and analyze them within our interface, centralizing your study material and helping you learn from every game you play.
Why Use Import PGN?
- Custom Training: Study your own games or focus on specific positions.
- Thematic Play: Create training games or thematic tournaments based on imported PGNs.
- Learn Novelties: Explore unusual opening ideas or novelties in depth.
- Endgame Focus: Practise specific endgame positions for better technique.
How It Works
Imported PGNs are reviewed and approved by ChessWorld Admin. Once approved, they can be used to set up:
- Thematic Tournaments
- Individual Games
- Personal study positions
How to Access
Navigate to My Stuff → My Other Stuff → My Positions and select Add a position from a PGN game score.
Frequently Asked Questions
❓ Can Guest Members use PGN Import?
No. This feature is available only to Full Members.
❓ Do imported PGNs need admin approval?
Yes. Imported PGNs are subject to review and approval by Site Admin before being used in games or tournaments.
❓ Can I create a tournament from my PGN?
Yes. Once approved, your PGN can form the basis of a Thematic Tournament.
